I have Replay, an 8 yr old arabian gelding that is way more talented than I am:) I am a veterinarian that finally achieved my childhood obsession of owning my own horse, an we are working 1st level dressage with my awesome friend Emily:)
Do you have any pets?

Wow! Small world :) I have had a few horses (owned and trained) that were related to my Cassy. I think it is fun when that happens, even if it is a distant relative. Sometimes they have similar personality traits and I have to wonder if it's genetic... :)
I so agree! Many horses have different mindsets. Like you wouldn't expect a Border Collie to be as calm and relaxed as, say, a Golden Retriever, you wouldn't expect to work with an Arabian the way you would work with a Draft or Miniature horse. :) On top of it, each horse is different personality-wise. I love meeting people who really understand Arabians!
Wow! I love Arabians, and I am so glad to hear you and Replay are reaching for the stars! I think Arabians tend to have a very unearned bad reputation; they are such stellar horses! My late mare (in my profile photo) was Crabbet and Polish bred. She was my best friend for the last years of her life.
Is your gelding Crabbet bred? I love the chestnut high white (sabino) horses. Did you know that the pattern in the Crabbet lines mostly comes from the great stallion Mesaoud, and that Lady Anne Blunt considered thesehigh white Arabs to be superior to their more conservatively colored Arabs?
