About my horses:
Brendan: is a chestnut, 17hh, Thoroughbred gelding. I bought him in June '08, four weeks off the track. He raced under the name Danneal and I now compete him as Tapis Rouge. His sire is American racing stallion, Pientre Celebre, and his damn is an Australian mare named Susan. He was foaled in 2004. I compete with Brendan at Horse Trials and do the odd Dressage or Showjumping event with him. He's very scopey and loves to jump and show-off! He's a real princess and has little "trantrums" when he doesn't want to something. He is a firm believer that he should never have to work hard because he's so fantastic. :)
Gromit: is a grey, 16.2hh, Thoroughbred gelding who is also off the track. I bought Gromit in March '09, a little over a month off the track. He raced as Grey Nomad and I compete him under the name Silver Surfer. His sire is (now deceased) New Zealand stallion, Toy Pindarri and his dam is an Australian mare, El Valour. He was foaled in 2003. Even though Gromit is a year older than Brendan, he is much greener. He raced for a year longer than Brendan, and quite a sensitive horse with a tendancey to get stressed. I find him a challenge to ride, and he's slowly starting to click.
