Have ridden and competed for more years than I care to divulge! I now work with riders on improving their performance through identifying and addressing the unconscious fears that limit their ability to ride at peak performance. Many of my clients just want to ride and have fun, some want to start competing and others are competing and want to improving their rankings/scores. It is truly an honour and I am always thrilled when a client achieves what they want. I still ride my Irish Draft/TB even after a new hip operation. He is cheeky, quick and also very good at taking care of me.
One of the toughest things I did. My horse is very cheeky and not an easy ride. I got on and he immediately said...no worries mum, I'll take care of you. I know I'm getting better when he get's cheeky. So lopve and trust him...so grateful.
Welcome to Barnmice, Gladys! :) Glad to hear you are still riding after surgery! I think riding is a very beneficial and therapeutic exercise for people recovering from a plethora of things. Very neat!
