For the first twenty years, I concentrated on eventing with some show jumping, dressage and hunter. Then "Greek Garter" and I enjoyed a very successful campaign from 1984-1986 until she retired. In 1990, I partnered with "Pot Pourri" and together we discovered the world of dressage. In 1993 I received a COAI Talent ID training grant, and in 1996 and 1997 we received CADORA Bronze Advanced Status for consistently high dressage scores. We competed at the Canadian National Dressage Championships numerous times throughout the 1990s.
Over the past few years, I have concentrated on training young horses and riders of various ages and interests. I have been an Active Equine Canada Certified Coach 1 since 1995.
A combination of classical training and a practical hands approach has allowed me to cross back and forth between dressage, hunter/jumper, eventing and the practical aspects of pleasure and working horses. My students and clients have ranged from serious dressage riders, jumpers and eventers to trail riders and endurance competitors.
