I was impressed with your profile and found some similar interests we share and have experienced. I would be interested to know what you do for those that are disabled from riding accidents. I look forward to reading your posts.

Thanks for the update Hilary!

I know we ran into you at NEC when we showed at the Battle of the Breeds show back a few years ago was it '06 or '07 but didn't have much of a chance to chat. Mother and I had brought a pair of chestnut Arabians (stallion and gelding) for a day of fun. We've since had the gelding die suddenly in a freak pasture accident that took his life and my purebred mare's life.

In recent years mother and I have been doing distance riding again (mother's love and the Appy mare's love). We've done well: 2004 7th at the Arabian National Championship Competitive Trail Ride (CTR), 2005 mother and my Appy mare won the Arabian National Championship CTR (Champion Partbred Arabian and Champion Overall) and I on mother's Purebred mare (the one we lost) went Top 10 (6th Purebred and 10th Overall), 2006 4th at the 1st Appaloosa National Championship Endurance Ride (END), 2007 3rd at the 2nd Appaloosa National Championship END.

Last year we decided to play with the biggies in the sport at the North American END Championship (50 Miles) which was combined with the Arabian National END Championship. We placed a respectable 63rd in the North Americans and 7th in the Arabian division, also was Best Appaloosa.

In the meantime we have been breeding and showing Hackney Horses in the baby Futuries doing well with my babies which were sold to Indiana in October. Only have my broodmare left and she is due to an imported Section B Welsh stallion.

Mother has been breeding Sport Ponies and putting some darned nice babies on the ground that are winning In-Hand and just getting started under saddle. We've qualified at least 3 ponies every year for the finals at the Royal. Only taken 2, and last year's went 3rd in her class as a Yearling.

We tend to explore the disciplines that our horses will excel at, so I know how excited Sandra would have been excelling at a new discipline for her.

Hi Hilary

Welcome to Barnmice. Mother (Vivianne) says to say hi!

Glad to see that you are still riding.
