- Actually, I started riding only a few years ago, at the Riding Academy, downtown Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Since I don't dirve, I was thrilled to find this facility. The instructors are very competent and understand the fears of adult learners who never rode in their life. I am just starting to feel comfortable with the canter. Unfortunately, I only ride once a week as it is quite expensive. But what I love the most, is grooming horses before and after riding. I take my time and have long conversations with them! I would love to have my own horse one day but I don't think it will happen in my lifetime. I am happy for the time being just to be able to ride.
