- A Bit About Me and my Horse(s)
- I live with my husband and daughter, 2 dogs and 3 cats in an apartment on my parent's farm where we breed Appaloosas. I enjoy riding but also just like to be around the horses and pets on the farm.
I currently ride western but I used to ride english and was starting to get into cross county before I headed off to university - since then life has sort of gotten in the way but I have recently been working with one of our horses and am hoping to start jumping again and would really love to try Dressage! My daughter is also hoping to start learning to ride english and do some jumping.
I enjoy photography and am learning to take decent pictures of the horses - I hope to one day get good enough that I can take portraits of people and their horses (that they both look great in).
I like attending clinics both with and without a horse - I have been to several clinics with Josh Lyons and have learned so much from him. Now I have my own fountain of information right at home since my Mom became a Certified John and Josh Lyons trainer in 2007 and Accredited Josh Lyons trainer in 2008.
I give horsemanship lessons to a couple of young girls who love horses but live in town. I really enjoy the time I get to spend with them - their enthusiasm is catching!
I am also a military wife and my husband has been to Afghanistan twice (so far....) - it gives me a lot of "me" time and farm time!
