have andalusians and haflingers Ride dressage and just have fun. I am currently working to clickertrain my guys to do the spanish walk. It is a work in progress, but I do think I'm getting through. I'm only doing it from the ground so far.
I recently moved to Texas and am in a boarding situation that does not have arenas, and has never had livestock on it. Can you say "soft ground?" I am moving a round pen around and leaving a horse in it for a week in order to tamp down the ground enough to even ride on at a walk! This place used to grow plants for nurseries, so not only is it soft, it is fluffy! And to think I used to gripe about hard footing at the old place....
I give the horses very high priority, but since my parents are aging, and I have had serious health issues this spring (22 days in the hospital, 6 days in ICU, 2 days on the ventilator), I am focusing on getting the family healthy first, and getting the horses fit second. Besides, I have to keep tamping down more ground....
Do you have any pets?
horses trained to fetch and play ball, cat, bird
