Everytime you stop, back up... and back up.... back up and bend and flex... bend and flex... ..... till your horse automatically stays going slower..... when you canter just go a few steps and slow... start slow.... that's how my trainer…

Wendy has a point, although if you do not know how to properly slow your seat to slow the horse, you could actually chase the horse without knowing it.
