I have loved horses all my life. I aquired my first horse when I was a Junior in college. I began in Girl Scouts riding Hunt Seat. I showed in Intercollegiate Horse Shows in the early 70's
I became interested in Cross Country Events and Dressage while I rode with Ann Gribbons at Knoll Farm On Long Island. I was very fortunate to become friends with Gordon Wright, Father of American Hunt Seat, and benefitted from his wonderful teaching for several years. I began riding with Raul De`Leon, member of Master Teachers of NA,teacher of Tad Coffin, gold medalist 3 day at Montreal Olympics. Raul was/is an amazing teacher and I owe him so much in making me the horseman I have become. I still teach Hunt Seat and Dressage privately part time. I am retired from teaching Art Education after 37 yrs; the last 23 were spent teaching riding at Base Stables and Art at the Dependents Schools and at Camp Lejeune Marine Corps Base in Jacksonville , NC.
I have my 3 horses at home along with my 6 adopted dogs (4 are German Shorthair Pointers), I volunter with the SEGSP Rescue and have fostered GSPs for them.
