- I'm a 51 year old wife and mother of a 13 year old girl. I've been a horse person since I was very young. My horse Sambucca, a 19 year old Appy/QH is a rescue with abuse in his past. I've had him almost 10 years. I had to show him that humans could be kind. I did this through gentle touch. He still needs some work in the saddle, but he's come so far
