Marla: I've trimmed a lot of donkey over the years and have tons of fun doing it. They also keep me humble. Soundness and comfort are the main points for these little guys. If they are sound I leave well enough alone. Age is a huge factor and of course weight. You could raise the heel with some foal extention composites but I wouldn't bother is not absolutely necessary.
