- I have a 25 year old thoroughbred/clyde mare, named Cass, and an 8 year old warmblood mare, named Snip. I ride Cass, who is an eccentric 'Sturdy Girl', and take care of Snip, who is 18 hands and badly foundered but has earned the nickname 'Big Stupid' because she's so arrogant and apparently unaware that there's a darned thing wrong with her!
