Bitless competitions in the U.S. and under FEI

Most interesting fact as arisen since I posted about potential bitless competitors.

Seems back in 99 over 2,300 people signed a petition for bitless competition, and yet now I cannot get people to write an affidavit that they want to compete bitless here in the United States.  An affidavit is a legal document used in a court of law.

What is the reason?  The request I placed on the Internet is not about my position, it is…

Wow, she was trying to figure that thing out from the very beginning - trying to anticipate our wishes. pretty much all she did was passage for the first 5 minutes, do some spins and maybe after 45 minutes could we get her to walk.

Cinch Magazine- The Great Bitless Experiment

Cinch Magazine will be pursuing the 'Great Bitless Experiment' in the summer of '09 to determine, once and for all, the effectiveness of riding bitless versus bitted. Our study will include: well-broken horses, green horses, a nervous pony and starting a horse under saddle with the bitless bridle. We will be using a variety of different riders: adults, children, begginer to advanced. If the bitless experience works out for schooling, we will also try it in the competition ring!

We…
