    When the news of Hickstead's death reached me, the first thing that came into my mind was denial. There was no way a great horse such as him could have an end such as it was. Day 5 - the CN International

The very big news today is the CN International. McLain Ward has been wanting to win this class for years and today was his day. He and his amazing mare Sapphire had two clear rounds as did Eric Lamaze on his equally amazing stallion Hickstead. Ward had to go first in the jump-off and had a clean round that was deceptively fast.

It's day 2 here at Spruce Meadows for the Masters Tournament, one of the biggest stops on the yearly international show jumping tour.

Eric Lamaze and Hickstead Win the World Cup Qualifier at the Royal

News for yesterday's results:



Toronto, ON – Olympic Champion Eric Lamaze brought his Gold-medal horse Hickstead across the ocean to compete in just one class at The Royal Horse Show this week, and it couldn’t have gone any better than it did tonight. Hickstead once again demonstrated he is in a class all to himself, exploding over the jumps with power and stamina unmatched in the arena this evening, if at all.
