because you aren’t really paying attention to your food. You can often sit down with a bowl of snacks and before you know it you have eaten the whole thing. Distractions are not good while eating, and it is best for you to be aware of what you are eating. That doesn't mean you need to intently focus on your food, but avoiding distractions like TV will certainly help. Make a commitment
to avoid eating while watching TV.
