Lexington, KY - June 16, 2011 - - The Alltech National Horse Show, 128th edition, announced today that Sleepy P Ranch has graciously agreed to join forces with this year's event as sponsors of the $25,000 Junior Jumper Division.

The Alltech National Horse Show CSI-W 4* will be staged at the Alltech Arena at the world-renowned Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, Kentucky, site of last year's Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games.

The Junior Jumper division will feature the $10,000 Sleepy P Ranch Junior Jumper Welcome Speed Stake on Thursday, November 3 and the $15,000 Sleepy P Ranch Junior Jumper Time First Jump-Off on Friday, November 4th.

The top Junior Jumpers will then go head to head against the top Amateur Owner Jumpers in the $50,000 Championship Final of the Show Jumping Hall of Fame Jumper Classic Series. Joining Sleepy P in that sponsorship are Chansonette Farms and Deeridge Farm.

Suzanne & BG Porter's Sleepy P Ranch is a family run horse farm located just outside Dallas, Texas. They live there, along with their sons Wilton & Lucas.

"The National Horse Show is a vital part of the tradition of hunter jumper competition.  Every sport needs a year-end final that competitors can aspire to and that provides recognition for the best at every level," said Suzanne Porter of Sleepy P Ranch, commenting on their sponsorship. "We have been looking for a few key areas to give back to the sport that has been such a big part of our family for the past five years. The Alltech National Horse Show seemed like a natural recipient of such a gift, given its tradition and importance to the sport."

"We are delighted to welcome Sleepy P Ranch to our family of sponsors," stated Alltech National Horse Show President Mason Phelps, Jr. "The Porter family's sponsorship helps create a dynamic and exciting jumper division for the nation's top junior riders. It's going to be a great division."

Porter noted that the Junior Jumper division has a special significance for their family. "Our oldest son Wilton competes in the Junior Jumper division.  He also won the Children's Jumper Final at the National Horse Show, the year the competition was held in Wellington, Florida.  His cooler from that competition is a coveted part of our awards room," she smiled. "Focusing our support on the jumpers seemed to fit our family interests."

"We are delighted to have the show move to Kentucky," Porter noted. "It is an unbelievable facility and is more accessible for the Midwest and West coast participants.  At the same time, we think the move makes the tradition of Washington and the Pennsylvania National even more important to maintain.  We need to keep a few year-end finals - in major urban areas - in major coliseums - to showcase our sport to the non-showing public.  Those shows serve that role.  I hope they can continue," she said.

The Alltech National Horse Show, 128th Edition, will be held from November 2 - 6, 2011, at the beautiful, new Alltech Indoor Arena at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington.
