Labour Day weekend saw us presenting 3 animals at the North American Sport Pony Inspection.

Quest For Gold (Rocko's Gold X Shades of Spring) - First Premium with a score of 7.3
Appassianata DS (*Rhoson Pasiant X Clovercroft Lucky Jenny) - First Premium with a score of 7.6
Clovercroft Jenny (actually Clovercroft Lucky Jenny but they have an 18 character limit on names) - First Premium with a score of 7.1

Quest and Apple are both Half-Welsh but distinctly different builds and types. Jenny is a purebred Hackney Horse mare, who is crippled in the hind end and never leaves the home farm. Jenny had been presented 6 years ago at the Canadian Sport Horse inspection and scored a very low 6.? (don't know exact score as we never got back her inspection sheet). So we were very surprised to see that she scored high but she and Apple were both presented as Driving animals and that desirable conformation is different than dressage or jumping.

Last Sunday, we took Quest and Dijon (Kolonel Mustard) to the Twinholm Open Sport Pony Show. Quest in her showring debut won the Weanling/Yearling class over 2 animals and qualified for the Royal. She didn't want to play in the Junior Championship so didn't place. Dijon won the 3 & Over Geldings over 3 other ponies, was Reserve Senior Champion, 3rd in the Supreme Championship and also qualified for the Royal.

Dijon and Babs (Private Benjamin) show next weekend at Erin Fair in the Half-Welsh and Open Hunter Pony classes.

Then we are hopefully done for the show season - yeah!
