It's been some time since I've been on here, too busy I guess. Things have been going well with Monty though we have hit a couple of snags in his training. Still that is to be expected with a youngster and overall, my trainer is quite happy with his progress, and so am I.
I went to check out the Standardbred Schooling Show at the Langely Riders arena a couple of weeks ago and really quite enjoyed it. I had thought to take Monty to the one coming up just for the fun of it, but I may reconsider and just wait until next season when we might actually have a chance for a good showing.
Another reason I may wait, is that I have finally found myself a job, and I think it is going to be a good one. I have been hired by a finacial company to sell RESP's which are of course, Registered Educational Savings Plans. These are just incredable plans (and I'm not just saying that because I'm selling them now) and something that would be a good thing for every child to have, so, if you know of anyone with a new baby, or grandchild etc., who you think might be interested, let me know!
Anyway, I digressed there a bit. The reason I may not take Monty to the show in Aug., is that I am still learning this business and trying to get myself set up and running so it is taking quite a bit of my time right now. Once I know what I am doing and how to orgainze things then I will have much more time to spend with my animals, and with Monty's training. Not to mention, more money. I'm really getting tired of wondering how I'm going to make ends meet every month. EI sucks (but thank goodness for it). So hopefully by the end of this month I will have my licence and be starting to make some money and then it's upward and onward from there!
Have a good day everyone. I know I'm going to head for the barn and maybe for for a trail ride today. I love the summer, and don't usually complain about the heat but last week was a bit too much, and definately not riding weather.

Good luck with your job. Isn't it a joy to have a good horse to work with? Fall will come soon enough, then you can ride and put some miles on your horse.
