The end of term at school (early of course) saw us making the mahusive trip into the depths of east anglia for Dell’s first Intermediate Novice (IN). Despite gloomy predictions of a long
journey from everyone ., we arrived early! – That one joins my optimistically
short list of “journeys that take half the time Google says they will”....

Dells first intermediate test meant it was also his first test I had to do in sitting trot. However, this caused no
issues and we managed a 38.2 which although not fabulous in my books wasn’t far
off the general pace. So I left
the scorers tent with a Cheshire cat like grin....

Due to the CIC* earlier in the day my show jumping was pushed back seriously late in the day. So after coming back
for the second time because we found out thy were running an hour late I wasn’t
massively surprised to see a fair few rather perturbed people as the light
began to fade – “yup, Dell, we’re staying well out the way...” Having survived
that particular situation we had just the one down and some show jumping time
penalties – what?!, “mental note to self, never hang around show jumping
again...” However, the SJ time penalties were a common theme plus the IN has
faster SJ so I’ll come to terms with that.yes"">

So after the world’s fastest change of kit for XC we were off – the third last to go, am I cursed by darkness!? Dell
jumped a solid round including dropping straight into the water showing we’ve
made some decent progress. Plus
our 10 time penalties still kept us in the running – We’re getting quicker....

So after an epic day we just had the mammoth journey home, plenty of time to start learning all that driving theory stuff for my test next week.
