What a horrible winter! I'm sick of shovelling snow and really cold temperatures. After working outside all day, it's hard to get up the desire to go work ponies. Once again they aren't getting backed (as of yet) - I'd rather go thud than snap if I get bucked off. Maybe that's the age talking but when I need all bones intact in order to make money to pay bills, I have to err on the safe side.

Just got my passport back - it took less than 2 weeks! The flight, hotel, shuttle, etc are all booked for the trip in a couple of weeks to Louisville KY to attend the AERC Convention. 2 days of intensive topics to do with Endurance riding!! Fly down early on Thurs Feb 18 via Chicago. Spend next 2 days in sessions with evenings free (off to Joe Ley's Antiques or the Antique Mall plus a good trip to Jefferson Mall for shopping). Get up real early again on Sunday to return via Dallas! Yes, Dallas TX in order to get home to Ontario. I've always wanted to visit Dallas but I can't say sitting in an airport for 2 hours counts - wait a minute, I've been to Hawaii the same way twice (on the way to and from Australia).

Maybe soon the weather will turn around and I'll get motivated to ride the ponies - ground driving and lunging is getting boring for all of us.
