Horse Rescue: She gave all she had to people who abused her.

Sometimes you do things that just don't make sense. This is one of them.
We got another horse today. Not just any horse - a starved, abused ex-racehorse.

She is in horrible shape; She's got rain rot all over her skin, her ribs are sticking out, and her feet are pretty messed up.

We've done this before and had great success, but that doesn't make it any less crazy - or any less expensive. But we are also a believers in people who understand why we couldn't say no. She gave all she had to the people that used and abused her. Now she deserves to get something back in return.

We are calling Pickles - for now.

Yes - it is criminal - but they don't all get caught. We have be able to raise a little money to help with her feed bills and she has made great progress. But she has some other issues. Follow her blog. Maybe I'll have time to post something tonight. Thanks for your concern. Unfortunately, there are idiots our there with horses.
