Mark Your Calendars For NEDA Spring Show At Marshfield Fairgrounds

It’s time to mark your calendars for the New England Dressage Association’s (NEDA) Spring Dressage Show at Marshfield Fairgrounds, May 12th and 13th. Always a highlight of the year, and a great way to kick off the season, the NEDA Spring Show offers classes from Training Level to Grand Prix, qualifying classes, great footing, permanent stalls and a fantastic venue.

“The NEDA Spring Show is one of the first shows of the year in New England and a great time to bring your horse out and show everyone what you’ve been working on all winter,” said Sue McKeown, NEDA Spring Show Secretary. “We also offer championship qualifying classes, which is great to have so early in the show season. It’s the perfect opportunity to get out there and get your scores.”

Entries closed April 20th, and NEDA was happy to report a total of 463 riders will be in attendance with a good sized wait list. All seven of the states represented in Region 8 were able to come out and be represented, including some returning from Florida. The Spring Show Management has been in debate as whether to add a fifth ring, and have been able to secure a judge and additional space to accommodate the wait list.

Spectators will also have a lot to look forward to as for the first time ever, NEDA Spring Show be playing host to a Musical Freestyle Quadrille, riding at Training Level the Saturday of the show.  There will also be five other freestyles on Saturday, and four on Sunday. To add to the excitement, there will be a whole host of riders trying to get their scores to Qualify for the North American Jr/YR Championships.  In addition, Juniors trying for the Pony Team, riders going for the Brentina Cup and activity in the National Qualifying tests will be taking place. Competitors should be on the lookout for amazing prizes donated by EQ Bling, HorseHugger and Back on Track. Also, Draper Therapies will be handing out their Best Foot Forward Awards for rider’s with a positive attitude.

Excitement will not be contained to just the show ring, as the Spring Show will have many vendors on site for shopping excursions including: Trilogy Performance Saddlery, Draper Therapies and back by popular demand, the NEDA Boutique!

So please come out and join NEDA for all the fun that this year’s Spring Show will be playing host to.
