Appasianata DS or Apple arrived tonight around 10pm. Black bay filly with what appears to be no white (will have to check more closely as mom tends to hide white on her babies until after the application papers have been sent in requiring photos and money for changes.

Sire: *Rhoson Pasiant - imported Section B Welsh bay stallion
Dam: Clovercroft Lucky Jenny - Hackney Horse black mare

Many thanks to stallion owner Darlene Morton, Morton Welsh & Sport Ponies for the free breeding to replace my lost horses (MG Inkhredible Fire (and unconfirmed pregnancy to *Rosedale Top Cat) and Estabahn)!

While Apple can never replace Inkhi and Fish this is a very, very nice start!

Photos to come.

Thanks for the congrats! Apple is growing into herself more and more every day.

We still let our horses out at night once summer arrives (in during the day to avoid biting flies and sun bleaching). What happened to Inkhi and Fish was a freak accident that was tragic and devastating, no way will we wrap them up in bubblewrap - things happen for a reason and I will try to patiently await the reason to become clear. The longest I have waited so far is 22 years - long story but has a happy ending.

Mother has had horses for over 50 years and that was our first incident of something that couldn't have been prevented, no matter how hard we tried (the herd would have run no matter what time or what day we turned them out and introduced the broodmare and foal to the herd). That being said there are times we are screaming inside as the herd starts running around being horses, and beathing sighs of relief once they have settled down.

Still awaiting Spring's foal.

Congrats on the safe and healthy arrival. I often think of your tragic loss when I see mine run around like idiots. In fact, since your mishap, we have made a point of bringing them inside before it gets dark. Best of luck on the new foal!
