i was wondering if somene could tell me if my horse has mites:

dandruff
little bumps on his neck
he is not a draft horse
does not have feathering on his legs
it is on his rump and middle of his neck.

Try some tea tree oil. Regardless of whether or not it's mites, it should help. I use it on my mare when she gets bumps (which are often fungal). Tea tree oil is great for all types of skin issues for your horse as well as for you! Good luck!

What makes you think they are mites? Are there many bumps or just a few? My horses have had a few bumps like that here and there, and hibitane cream always seems to do the trick.
