:Conditions: Monday night after work. Unable to hack. Ring very busy with beginer lessons. Both horses really light rides - essentially warm up only
Caddymaster: snaffle. Overall very good ride. In the snaffle, he is more apt to put his tongue out. This happens more on the left rein. Today I thought of keeping him really straight on the left rein - almost thinking counterbent in the neck - VERY good idea (again - duh)
(Caddy for the last year-ish has had a habbit of putting his tongue out to the right. when he is going well - never see the tongue. have had teeth checked, checked abd checked again including 2 episodes where we tranq'ed him the 2nd of which included x-rays to rule out any hidden abscess)
Tia Such a nice horse. I am soo privledges to have her. Very short ride but managed to squeeze in 2 changes on the long side - both clean, and soft and the first left lead to rightt lead counter canter (her hardest change)
Boogaloo Fran didn't have time to ride him today and I can't ride 3 horses after work - won't do him any harm
Barn friends Mary had a lesson on Z. It was fantastic to watch. Z is a really cool horse an andulsian from holland who has been trained to do the spanish walk which he seems to throw in at times as an evation. I think he is a tricky ride, but he is super when he tries. Any way Mary has 2 horses and 1/2 leases Z so I see him riden by 2 different riders. He was the best I've seen him tonight!!! Go Mary!!!!
Kelly who is always fun was hanging out in my barn. Kelly has 2 horses and rides show hunters. She didn't ride tonight.
tomorrow, I'm oncall, so horses day off - wednesday is my day off and also my lesson day. Caddy not quite ready for lessons but I will absolutely ride Tia. I want to go back to 2 lessons a week, so if Fran has time, I'll ask for a lesson on her horse (Boogaloo)
