Hi all, I'm new to all this but wanted to share my experiences at the Sydney CDI, I went with two other NZ'rs Ottillie and Lisa, they competed small tour and we did the big tour. It was really great, I have an Irish Hunter who is NOT designed to be a dressage horse but we did ok, we had a couple of costly mistakes in both lines of changes in both the Int II and GP tests which was disappointing and meant we didn't qualify for the Kur, we did ride the GP Special though which I found to be a test which suited my horse, we did a smart mistake free test which was a relief and scored just under 62% to win the class..
The NZ team were an awesome bunch of people, all super supportive and helfpul. Ottillie and Becks were great staying behind with the horses after the competition as the horse plane had been grounded for a couple of days.
In reflection I am happy with our performance and have come away inspired to continue improving our work to hopefully return to Sydney again and do battle once more.

Keep that momentum going, sounds like a good plan. Last I heard however, benevolent merchant bankers were a bit thin on the ground in Whakatane... got a plan B?
