My name is Bethany and I am currently 14. I have never written anything that has been put into the public eye before so you will have to bear with me here. Well here is my back Story on how I started riding and how I met Stella.

When I was 8 soon to be 9 I was riding on the bus to school with my best friend and she was telling me about her riding lesson and and idea emerged in my mind "I should ask mum and dad for horse back riding lessons" and so the horse crazy years began... that day I spent thinking only about how amazing it would be to be riding on a horse. When I got home from school, the second I had the chance I asked my mum for horseback riding lessons for my 9th birthday. She said "yes" and I was Immensely exited! Up until that point in my life I had no clue that my mum used to ride. When she told me I was dumbfounded! She had ridden horses since she was very young. She says that she used to work at barns in exchange for her getting to ride.

When my 9th birthday rolled around (March 10th) my mum and I went looking for a good, safe, orginized barn. One month later we found one:) The first horse I ever rode (exept at pony rides at the festivals) was named Barbie. And so I became horse CRAZY! I breathed, ate, slept, and talked horse! It was my pride and joy. When I was 9 and a half I fell in love with a pony named maybelline. Sadly she left that barn when I was a little over 10. Then I liked to ride a horse named Poppy, But again he was bought, he stayed at the same barn but i never really rode him after that. Then Stella came into my life.

The day I met Stella I thought she was the most wonderful thing in the world. Sure she was a little ewe necked but she had the most beautiful  couloring I had ever seen, she was a bright bay with the most beautiful eyes. And a friendship began that had to be strong.

I was crying in the tack room with my mum holding me. I was 11 and half my heart had left for 60 miles away from where I was. I was devatated! I could not believe that another horse had been ripped from my grasp and trailered away to a place where I would could not see her, feel her or touch her! I cryed that night I could not believe that I would not see her again, but I did!

A year and a half later it was anounced that Stella was coming back! I could not even hold my exitment in. I smiled for the whole riding lesson:) My heart was coming back! From the day that Stella got back I was iching to ride her again. Once I did It was like we had never been seperated, and I almost always rode Stella from that day forward. I new she was the horse to buy and I had been saving my money and had a job as a dog walker and sometimes babysitter. I was just 12 and I had saved up $2500.

Half a year later I was Informed that Stella was about to be Sold! my mum and I immediatley showed our outrage to my coach at the time, who was selling Stella. I cryed for 2 days and eventually my coach stoped the sail and the girl who was going to buy Stella bought anouther horse. But my mum and I were not pleased because my coach had known that i wanted to buy Stella and saving my money too.  A quarter year later from saving up my alowence since I was 8 (I did not know what i was going to buy until I got into horses), gift money, babysitting, dogwalking( three dogs everyday for an hour exept on weekends), and house sitting I had finally made $4250 and Stella was Pricesd at $ 4000. I bought Stella when I was thirteen. My 13th Christmas presant from my mum was the vet check up ( I had not bought Stella yet but we new we would) and for 14th birthday presant my mum paid for the trailering down to the new barn we had picked so Stella could be closer to the house.  So I bought Stella with little help from my parents I was very proud of my self. but the trailering would have to wait because then Stella cut her leg and she was on stall rest for a month. Finally she got better and we moved her to a better barn where she and I and my mum are very happy:)

So thats how I came to Riding and and came to find my first love. I will try and do blog entrys of Stella and I's life at lease once a week:) here you can learn fun new exersises the I will post to do on your horse and just giving you something to read :) well Have A HORSE HAPPY TIME:)

 sinserly Bethany& Stella.

Indeed every horse is their own superstar and we, beeing the manager, ignite the star!  I love to hear people have found their perfect horse partner for not everyone gets to! And thank you, Stella is as good as she could be, as I hope Hat Tricks was for you:)

I know what you mean about Stella being the best horse.  My first horse, over 40 years ago was also the best horse in the universe!  May Stella be as good a horse for you as Hat Tricks was for me.
