When is it Time to Move to the Next Ritual?

Stephani from Florida wrote:

I have your Waterhole Rituals™ DVD. I am enjoying myself very much and my horse loves the first Ritual. What specifics do you look for that tells you that you are OK to start the next Ritual?

To which I replied:

When your horse is completely bonded with you and starts to become a pest. Before that, you could use the Hello Ritual to show your horse that when he walks away from you when you are approaching him, you will walk away from him. This way you build in your horse an understanding that he can get rid of your advances when he chooses, which will build more trust in him. He will feel that he can encourage your advances without the fear that he will lose control of his personal space. Every time you approach and leave will bring a deeper connection and develop a longing in your horse to know you better.

Interestingly, since Stephani sent in her question, she has obviously been watching the DVD and using the rituals more. She says that the first Ritual has been a real lesson in turning down her energy as she is normally a really dominant individual. She wrote:

Well Carolyn, I absolutely love your DVD. I am a very dominant type person - Type A personality and what I want - I go out and get - so to speak. Your DVD has helped me immensely in the regard to being a passive leader - one who requests and does not demand. My journey with horses is one that will benefit me, my family as well as my husband.

This is what I aim for in my work, to reach further than just working with horses. I would like to create a desire in individuals to have a need to serve community and a community that has a need to serve the individual. This applies to our families too of course. Well done, Stephani.
