Hi Anneke,
I have heard of microcurrent therapy but I don't use it in my practice. I do strickly hands on massage. Thats great that you're having the opportunity to learn about it hands on though. I haven't seen it in action but do try to keep up with all the latest therapies online.
Hope you're doing well!

Thank you for accepting my invitation, Anneke. I'm as totally fascinated with your photos and the beautiful black as I am with your chosen event - dressage.

Thanks so much Anneke! She is just such a lovely baby - perfect in every way (same as the previous 2) so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the next 3 to come will be equally as nice.

Thanks Anneke. My next mare, in foal to Chin Chin is due in 3 days but I think she will go 10 days to 2 weeks late by the looks of things. Then I have another that I know will go early (probably the week of July 20th) and the last 2 are due August 27th.
Hope all's well with you!
Debbie

I knew you'd love David's poem... it gives me goose bumps too each time I read it. My son is almost 15 years old. He's such a sweetheart! He loves Friesians as we do. He and Xavier had a very special bond, it was very hard on him when we had to sell our dream horse. But I promised David we'd have another someday.... And I hope that someday will come soon... =)

Aw... thanks for your sweet message... I hope you have a fabulous day today! I have to say I think you have a great job; I'd love to ride beautiful, quality horses for a living. You're one blessed girl that's for sure and highly talented too!

Flash & I have dressage lessons today - I'm so excited! I hope his leg holds up well; he has arthritis in his back right hock. I was going to schedule him for surgery because he was getting worse each week... Then I bought a magnetic boot for him. Since then he has been doing miraculously well. I can now right him (only 3 x a week) without a single lame step! Needless to say the boot is on all day, I take it off for work and at night. Its truly been an answer to my prayers...

Have fun training! You're the best! =)

Anneke, I didn't realize that was your Friesian in your picuter - he's gorgeous!!! I know what you mean, selling such a magnificent horse is sooo painful.... I miss my big boy very much. You said it exactly right, Friesians have such a powerful spirit, their energy is incredible, there's nothing like it. I love, love, love my horses, BUT, they're not a Friesain... I'm sure I will have my dream horse again sooner than later... I visualize him in my barn everyday, so I know he'll be here someday...

My son wrote this poem about Friesians.... I'm sure it will capture your heart as it did mine...

My definition of a Friesian

Its mane is sleek and shiny, as though the sun itself was implanted into every curly strand. Its fur is as black as night, and yet brighter than a hot sunny day.

Its hooves are as though it was taken from a priceless, polished model. When it neighs, it’s as though the heavens open up and angels sing out. Its forelock curls over its crystal marbled eyes.

It’s like no horse you’ve ever seen before, with muscles that flex at every movement. It’s more powerful then the strongest thunder that can shake the very ground before you, and yet as quick and nimble as a simple streak of lighting.

The riding experience is like none other. As you ride you bond with the horse, your thoughts become one, you know that anything is possible, and that any dream can come true.

D.Whitaker, 2007

I love this poem and was extremely proud of my son to realize he feels the magestic eloquence of the Friesian spirits.... I'm glad we've become friends,it's so much fun to have another Friesian Fever buddy - we're two peas in a pod that's for sure! And Yes! We are very proud of the Friesian breed...

I'll have to keep you posted when I begin my quest for my next horse. My trainer (a world famous dressage trainer) is going to assist me in finding the perfect companion for me... it will be a fun day for sure when I can afford to buy another beauty again. Until then, I'm loving every second with my Flash and Page, they're the love of my life and I will always have a special place in my heart for them, they're my best friends for life... =)

That is so cool, you're very blessed to work with horses... I couldn't imagine my life without them. I am so grateful for every minute I share with Page & Flash...

As for fitness, the best way to jumpstart your metabolism is to workout at least 30 to 45 minutes 4 to 5 days a week. Try to do weight lifting at least 3 times a week alternating upper and lower body. For cardio do intervals 2 to 3 times a week. The biggest secret of all is to eat a small balanced meal every 3 hours - by that I mean eating lean protein, a complex carb & fresh veggies... And after 3 pm eat only protein and veggies & salads... and consider the kitchen closed after 7 pm. For more tips & tricks I have a blog dedicated to health and fitness - check out www.liveskinnynow.com. Remember you need protein to build a lean physique so have at least 25 grams with each meal and snack... it will also burn more fat - so don't forget the protein....

I'm excited for your new business, you'll have to keep me posted when the market picks up. I actually may start a broker business with my dressage trainer, Irene Kooyman Berney. She imported over 100 Dutch Warmbloods into the states and produced 5 Olympic quality horses throughout her career. Needless to say she's AMAZING! I'm extremely blessed to be her dear friend and student...

I'm so happy for all your accomplishments and dreams... we're definitely very much alike in fulfilling our goals & passions in life... I'm sure we'll be good friends for years to come. =)
