Hey Jenna - wasn't sure if you would be on here, but thought I'd leave a message about a lesson this week. I can't remember which days work for you....but if you want to try either tuesday or wednesday??
I'll text you tomorrow to see what is going on.

Hey Jenna, stop by anytime. Keep in mind that I am now working a THIRD job (teaching, horse-sitting and working part-time at the campground in Johnstown)!! I'm not around much on saturdays and I start at Ellen's from thursday to sunday. Thor is running at Keenland this weekend then he'll come back home to Woodbine for the summer. Did I tell you he won his last race in Florida? In his last six races he's been either first or second, with 5 different jockeys at 4 different race tracks!! He's pretty amazing for a seven year old!! Talk to you soon.

Hi Jenna! It will be awhile before the field is ready...I want to give the grass a chance to grow. I would be willing to let you use the arena anytime you want - maybe in return for cleaning a few stalls? (I usually charge $25/hr rental). You'll have to stop by and see the cute pony that Cat leased for Fiona from Paul. She's a paint (about 13.3hh, but looks bigger) with a wall eye! She's a real sweetheart!
Let me know if you want to use the arena.

Sorry I didn't make it over there last week....too many lessons with everyone home for the holidays, plus we had people out to look at the farm on wednesday(that caused a couple of days of house cleaning!).
I will try and get over next weekend if you want...will text to let you know.
Kathleen rode Hilite yesterday. It was very cute, except Hilite spent most of her time trying to roll in the arena!

I will text you when I figure out what my schedule is for the week. I still have to book a few lessons, not sure what days they will be. I think I still have some parts off the old, old harness - so if you are missing anything I may be able to find the pieces for you. The problem I found when we bought the used leather harness was that it was very hard to adjust because the buckles had been in one place for so long. You may want to start oiling/saddle soaping before you try to fit it...might make it a bit easier.
If we get some good weather for a hack I'll text you and see if you want to meet up with us on one of your horses. (Or you can ride one of mine)
Talk to you soon.

Hey Jenna - Thanks again for all the Christmas goodies- I'm eating a double chocolate cookie as I type this! Tell your mother she has outdone herself this year! I have everything hidden in the cupboard so that I can 'ration' myself with them!
Let me know if you would like to come over for a ride this week...I think Rachel and I are going to try and hack thursday afternoon, or if you want a lesson - Scooter needs to start doing some jumping again after being off when she was sick. She was quite the handful when I used her in a lesson last friday! Definitely back to her old self!

That's great that you got a trailer!
Hilite got ridden for the first time in probably a year (give or take a few months!) today....she was such a good pony! Didn't take her very long to get tired though, she's so fat and out of shape! Will probably put Kathleen on her this week....maybe try and get her going again.

Keep working on your parents....It's not very often that someone offers to pay for your entry fees/trailering! The entry fees at events are usually ALOT more than going to a dressage show. Is your dad still thinking about getting a trailer so that you can show your guys?
I will send the stallion info. through the regular e-mail, because that's where the link is, so will forward it to you.

Hey Jenna - Are you thinking about riding Cat's gelding? I think you would like him...he has lots of energy. I guess he's great over fences too. It might be a good opportunity for you to try some eventing! Paige is going to try him as well - so she may be riding him once a week.
I'm still very sad about Ozzy...so is Joelle. She wants to breed a 'Lianna' pony in memory of him, so we are trying to find one of his brothers. We have found an uncle down in the states...I will send you the info. on him if you want to see a picture.

Just let me know when you want to come over for a lesson...I'm pretty flexible with my times. I'm still trying not to teach at 6:30 p.m. as I find it's just too long a day!
The old guys are good - Janet had Jet out on the weekend, Paige just had a lesson on Benny (he's actually doing well enough they did some trot leg yielding! He even picked up a right lead canter at one point and all his legs were going in the right direction!!!!! Scooter is Scooter - she's been pretty grumpy lately!(more than usual!). Oh yeah, Kathleen has been riding Jet too...it's very cute! He loves it because her legs hardly reach down his sides and she's so light he dosent' really have any weight on his back.

Well...I rode ALMOST all the way to YOUR house (went as far as the barking dog tied to the tree!). Janet, Paige and I took the old guys out this morning. We really should have gotten together! I've been going up your road more than down the 6th lately as the footing is better for Ben and Jet.
Let me know next time and I'll meet up with you if I'm able.
I was going to ride Pee this afternoon while I was teaching, but my lesson cancelled. Oh well, at least I rode once today! I'm on horse sitting duties at Ellens' this weekend as they are in Kentucky watching the Breeder's cup races. I have another farm that I start at near North Gower next week - doing a few days to get used to their schedule before they leave on the 14th.

I will pass along your e-mail to anyone I find that may be interested in Diamond. I'm still doing pony club testing almost every weekend, so may be able to find someone through that.
Miss P is good - rode her tuesday for the first time in 3 or 4 weeks, she was amazing! Ben has been doing well, going on some hacks and Paige has been riding him a couple of times a week to try and get some muscle on him (he's starting to look 25 years old). He had to have his teeth floated this afternoon and actually behaved way better than he usually does for the vet. Oz is back to rubbing his tail again...I swear I'm NEVER going to get it to grow out again!
Stop in some time for a visit and to see Mike! He has a new girlfriend...a black standard poodle named 'Truffles' - she belongs to my new boarder and comes out almost every night for a play!

Thanks Jenna, She's so special; such a good soul. I've never had a horse who has bonded with me like Ally. I feel awful that she has endured colic surgery twice now. There doesn't seem to be anything that causes it. Just some horses are predisposed to this type of colic. Puts everything into perspective. Enjoy what you have and live for today.
PS....I love taking pictures too!

That's too bad that you don't have enough time to ride...I imagine the work load for school is a little heavier with you being in high school now. Emily did tell me she had Diamond at her place this summer. If I hear of anyone who may be interested in her, I'll pass along your phone #.
I guess I should try and get on facebook sometime....didn't realize my ponies were on it! I think Cat will be riding their pony, I think he's still a little bit too green for Fiona.
I've actually been on Miss P a few times and took Benny out for a hack on saturday. I haven't had a chance to do any driving with Ozzy lately and he has been having to do a couple of lessons a week - he is not impressed!
