Mine was a Pacer as well. I actually prefer riding his pace to his trot....it's smoother! He also does kind of a running walk sometimes; very cool and very smooth. I want to teach him to do it on command. We're working on it.
They are wonderful. I would recommend them to anyone. Very sweet and easy to work with. Took nothing to train them to saddle. We're still working on things like leg yeilds, but the basics are done. We went for a 5 mile trail ride the other day, on roads, through water, through the bush, and they were excellent!! And, they do canter. My gelding, Pax, has a wonderful, smooth stride.
Thank-you, I happen to love it too!! Yes, one of the horses is mine, and one is my sisters. They are OTT Standardbreds, and this was taken the first morning after we adopted them, and we let them out.
