Hello Jackie. I also wanted to thank you for the welcome to Barnmice. I am just getting to "know the place", so it took me a little while to figure out how to reply to you on this page. I look forward to slowly getting to know my way around and the people and horses here. I thank Barnmice for making me another mouse around the yard.

Oh...I thought this was a site run by Michael Matz.  My story is not about dressage. It's about Michael Matz...and racing...and the time I met Michael many decades ago. 

thanks you, Jackie.  I'd very much like to send Michael a copy of my short story.  I belong to a writer's group for several years...nothing that special, mostly true life horse stories inspired by my decades in and out of the business.  But the story about Michael is kind of special to me, and -- when I stumbled across this site -- I wondered if you might forward it to him, or tell me how to send it.  And Thanks for welcoming me.

Jackie,  Thanks so much for the advice, I was given the name of someone close that works at at a youth camp in the area , he will come to your home to give lessons, I just feel I need someone to help me at first.. and definately on the saddle , last thing Cee and I need is for the saddle to slide to slide under his belly, and last I put it on him it really was moving around, we just walked around a minute and I got off.  I am doing something with the cinch that is not working, so we are just waiting on getting things right. Financially, I really can't send him to a trainer right now, and he got very ill last time I sent him to be broke, I promised him and myself he would never leave here again..he got an eye fungus and we almost lost his eye, I was advised to kill the eye so we could get rid if the fungus, Texas A&M opthimoligist thencompounded meds, and after couple months we finally got it.  So I will have to find some one who will come here, for me and him.  That was during training and then they had to quit riding him because he was in pain.  But Cee and I will get there I have full faith.
