Ya I agree about appaloosas being better for western, but some can be nice english too. I used to ride a appaloosa that was a dressage pro! The only problem is that they are built "on their fore-hand" (which means they put alot of their wait on their front end, in case you didn't knwo ;p)
Yes I do live on my own farm. The only reason I moved my horses to a barn is because the field I ride in is now all wet from all the snow melting, and I want to show Diamond so I need to ride her consistently.
Do you keep your horse (s) at home or at a barn?
Ya I like appaloosas too but my parents wouldn't buy me one (the only way I will ever own one is if I buy it myself, which right now is now happening lol) because my dad hates appaloosas! He calls them appaLOSERs haha. I think he just doesn't like how most of them have really thin and scraggly tails. And thanks! I need to take some new ones, I havn't taken any pics in awhile.. And I just moved them to a barn so I should definently take pics of them there! =) It's wierd not having them at home anymore.. do you keep your at a barn or at your housse?
Ya jumping is really fun on the ponies. But sometimes if your up in your two-point and then they decide to buck, their heads gone and you have nothing in front of you! ;p
That's too bad that you have to sell him.. my dad wouldn't let me sell Diamond, she's his baby haha. ;)
Ya I'm looking for another horse, and I've found a really nice one but it's 16.2! So I'm not sure if I wanna go from a 13.2 hand pony to a 16.2 hand horse!
And thanks! Good luck to you too! (if your showing, which I take it you are?) Nah, I'm not good at making full show names up, so if you have any good one's feel free to share! =)
Hahah.. I like cabreo, I like names that are different like that.. I like Desiree because it's spelled cool but people always pronounce it wrong aha. It's just dezeray spellled funny ;p
Diamond is around 13.2. I'm getting too big for her! See, she was born on my farm and was trained at the normal age, but just to have a person on her back, not actuall training. So I didn't start seriously training her until the beginning of last summer, so now I'm gonna show her this year. It's sad that I won't be able to show her longer! =(
Dez is around 14.2. I call her a horse cuz she is so close to being one! ;p
Yeah training is really fun!
Diamond (the chestnut pony) And Dezzi (the paint) Haha original names I know. I named Diamond when I was 7 haha so that's the best I could come up with ;p And Dezzi was named when we bought her.. her full name is Desiree (pronounced dez-er-ay) We call her Dez or Dezzi for short =)
