Comment by Zoe Brooks on June 10, 2008 at 3:30pm: Thanks for asking. It depends on the judge and the level of competition. Lots of people use these to train for dressage - right up to a very experienced Grand Prix coach. They say their hands and riding improves.

There is an excellent bitless chat group out of the UK (link from www.nurturalhorse.com) where they recently reported a FEI level trial - in South Africa would you believe? We are trying to approach the rules committee to have them begin the long process of changing the requirements.

Horses sure love them and respond very well!
