Someone asked the question "what is a Big Lick Tennessee Walking Horse?" on the Barnmice Forums. This video was taken at the TWH annual Celebration, their biggest show of the year, and this is the supreme championship class. I know there are controversies around TWH training and practices, but I would request you keep any discussion here on Barnmice and do not take it over to YouTube. Thanks.

By the way these horses carry their back-end, they appear to be in terrible unbearable pain. It's not even pretty at all when you look at the whole horse. What a shame and shame on anyone that contributes to it in any way.

This is absoludely horrible and disgusting. Unfortunately too often people in this world prove themselves to be inhumane.  I just don't get it. Causes me to have rather nasty thoughts what I'd like to see done to some people.

This is torture and not natural!! Please know that many walker breeder, exhibitor's do not pad or sore their horses.  I would never put mine in danger.  Unfortunately there is some type abuse in many breeds, it is a shame and all we can only hope things change.  This has been ongoing in our breed, some sound organizations formed but many times a judge will still place the obvious "fixed" horses.  I personally do not show & the majority of our members are pleasure riders, for that I'm happy.

This is torture, these horses are so sore on the front feet that they are almost walking in a constant rear. Looking at the way the rear legs and hocks are moving it is only a matter of time before the back leg joints are destroyed, crippling the horses for what ???? Money, bragging rights.
I agree with Kim it is very disturbing and disgusting. Nothing natural about this at all.
