FEI and USEF Rules on Drugs and Therapies Before Competition

Your good intentions can quickly head south when the rules of engagement come into play. It is your responsibility to know what you can and cannot do before a competition when it comes to drugs and therapies. I know your vet and trainer are awesome but the rules are always changing and it is your name that will be next to the BIG E for eliminated when your horse tests positive for drugs that you were not supposed to use before a competition.

This video is a bit long but is a great chance to brush up on the rules before the show season kicks into high gear for most of you in the Northern hemisphere.

This video was filmed as part of the Robert Dover Horsemastership Program in Wellington, Florida in 2015.
