Hi Barbara,
There are a couple of factors that come into play when considering if a few uneven steps following a flexion test are a problem or not. If it is a horse over 10 years of age and has an athletic job I do not worry too much. Conversely, if it is a young horse that is not ridden very much I am more concerned.

Is it acceptable immediately following the flexion for the horse take one or two uneven steps, or would that be considered cause for further investigation?
