Dressage Training: Leg Yield to Lengthening

This is a great exercise to develop balance and engagement for the young or starting out dressage horse. It requires that the horse listen to the aids in order to not lose balance and rhythm. Here we show you some of the common mistakes riders make as well as how to fix them while you are riding at home. Lengthen stride or extended trot is a great way to longitudinally supple your horse and get him working off his hind legs to push more in the movement.
