Hi

That is a wonderful story, and I am really happy for you and your horse that he got a place that he was happy, so well looked after.

Thanks for the compliments on Che (I think that is who you are reffering to, he is the bigger of the two???) Che is friendly to us, but hates people, and loves horses, and for a stud he is very, very good with other horses, not a 'loud' stud at all, and very gentle with those of his own kind.  He was taken away from his mother young, and seperated from the other colts due to is over exuberance with play, he was way bigger, and way tougher than the rest and due to financial value they couldn't leave him to hurt (even by accident) the other colts, so he was left alone most of his life... it shows as he has an almost unusual drive to get along with other horses... wish he would do this with people!!! lol  a friend of mine once nick named him the 'rattlesnake', mostly he is okay though, we know him and he knows us, so we know to keep others back, and we are a part of his heard, so we are okay.  Except in breeding season I can't get near my husband as Che see's Joe as 'his' brood mare-- or something we are not quite sure what??? lol

Tattoo is the friendly one of my pair, he is a bought 'rescue', paid dearly for him... but oh well, he is a race horse still, and has a lot of hight speed, but tends to tie up.  He is sweet, and while not the 'looker' that Che is, he more than makes up for it in good grace, and kindness... if you are human... he is like your horse that he does not get on with horses... he loves Che in his own way, but will still give him hell if he gets the chance...actually with other horses, Tattoo reminds me of dog with a grudge, as he bares his teeth even after he is hauled away from trying to grab the other horse!!! Oh well that is my pair, and I really am happy that a stb has a home, as so many end up in dire straights... yours is one of the lucky ones!!!

Hi

I am really happy to hear that you have a stb and love him.  Was he a horse you bought or did you 'rescue' him.  I am always currious as to how people acquire their horses for riding purposes.

He looks like a lovely horse, and you two seem to have lots of fun from your photos.

Good luck with him.

Hi Lucy, that's really great to hear you're already doing some of the stretches in your fitness bootcamp. I run bootcamps in Kemptville where I'm based, and equestrian fitness classes...and alot of the focus in fitness these days is to 'undo' the tight areas created from sitting: at a desk, in the car etc...and this focus lines up really well with equestrian needs. If you're interested in being on my free equestrian fittips subscription list, just let me know.

Lucy, mud it is a curse, but I believe the horses love it, like children love to get messy and dirty, I suppose cause they're clean and groomed all the rest of the year.
Your photos are good, caught the atmosphere very well
