Video from 1998 of a runaway during the Michigan Great Lakes Int'l draft horse pull. Nobody was seriously injured. This runaway was due to faulty equipment.

I wasn't saying that the horses shouldn't have spooked I was just commenting on the fact that the horse kept kicking while it's leg was caught while it was standing there.

These are very well trained draft horses. They are trained to pull 100% just after they are hooked up. The equipment failed and away they go. But they are horses, so they spook sometimes as any horse can do regardless of how well trained they are. Anyone who says there horse is so well trained they can't possibly spook is deluded. Amazingly the whole arena didn't turn into a rodeo. That is a credit to the training and breeding that had been done.

I never knew it could be this dangerous! how come these animals aren't trained to accept leather straps around their hooves? It's really not that hard to train people!
