CARD is seeking a reliable and independent worker for a permanent, part time positing.

Skills:
• Experience in and knowledge of equine health care (recognize signs of
lameness and distress)
• Knowledge of equine first aid (vital signs, bandaging, basic wound care)
• Responsible
• Experience operating a tractor is highly desirable (harrowing arena, snow removal in winter)
• Organizational skills






Duties include but not limited to:

• Morning hay and grain feeds
• Turnout of horses (weather/safety permitting)
• Stalls cleaned and re-bedded
• Water buckets cleaned and filled
• Feed tubs cleaned
• Barn, mounting block, feed room, and hay room are swept and free of obstacles
• Prepare grains
• Bring select horses in for grain/ afternoon, per individual needs
• Feed lunch: hay outside, grain for select horses inside
• Turn in of horses
• Blanketing as necessary
• Evening hay, grain and watering
• Night time security



This is a live-in position. A room will be provided in the house on property.
Working hours for this position are Friday evening to Sunday evening.
