Hi Siri.
Really nice to get your comment, thanks. The pictures come from real horses and people, used to train them myself and compete dressage so it's all first hand.

Christina from the barnmice shop is selling the cards you need to contact her on how they are sold.

Love your profile picture

Thank you Morgan. Yes, he is very pretty and can be a real little "bad Boy" but we love him dearly. I will try to update some pictures of him.

Oh, and of course, the easiest way - above the photos of all the group members is the invitation to join the group! Sorry, I should have mentioned that first! :)

Hi Siri,
I'm sure Astid will get back to you very quickly, but I spotted your question and thought I would help as well. If you go to the Eurodressage group and click on "reply" to any discussion, or try to post on their comment wall, you will be prompted to join the group. I hope this is helpful! p.s. Your foal is absolutely stunning!

Hi Bella, my better half is a psychologist, who among many other things has EMDR training. I have my support system there. He has been amazing! He went through hell not knowing if I was going to live or die and if I was to live, with what mental capasity. I have been very lucky despite the amount of damage. Thanks for your reply! I'm happy to hear that your surgery went well. One thing I look forwards to is being able to get some food in my mouth that does not need to go in by a straw...Life's little pleasures- you don't recognize them till they are taken away! Best regards, Siri

EMDR link got cut off. Just Google EMDR or search on Wikipedia.

Keep healing!

Siri, I feel your pain--physical as well as emotional. In addition to my bodily injuries, I suffered from PTSD. I freaked out when driving or riding in a car (especially if a car or bike came from the right, the direction I was thrown), if I heard--or worse, saw--an ambulance, if I heard a helicopter, if I watched anything remotely sad/scary/creepy/violent on TV. It took me a year till I could even touch a horse, and then another three months till I could get on one.

I was helped ENORMOUSLY by a therapy called Somatic Experiencing (info & practitioners at www.traumahealing.com). A couple of friends who had PTSD after auto accidents & childhood trauma were helped by EMDR therapy (I checked it out but it wasn't for me; see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eye_Movement_Desensitization_and_Reprocessing)

I've had terrible trouble with recurrent shingles after trauma and surgeries. At least until I had the steel plate removed from my arm on the 13th (knock on wood).

I've also had recurrent yeast infections from antibiotics. There's a super Fluconazole tablet out there now that'll kill most systemic yeast infections. You only need to take it once (my doctor told me to take it for a week, just to be sure). You're probably doing this already, but eat masses of bio-active yogurt and take probiotics too.

Hi Siri,
I sometimes travel to Brockville to train with Gina Smith and then head to the shows at Nepean. That's a gorgeous show ground - perhaps we have run into each other there!
