Gurman and I are slowly progressing. I've been riding without stirrups and doing lunge lessons along with my regular weekly lessons. A little sore, but getting better!
i agree with you about the mare aspect, lucky for me my mare as a fantastic loving temp and the 2 kids seemto have it also,
I used to work for Gareth Hughes until recently and we had quite alot of sandro hits/ songs and they were generally nice people, slightly slow developing and a bit weak behind but easy to train, the Jazz horses are generally a bit of a handfull but as you say warmbloods will, at some point throw the toys out of the pram!!!
my bay horse (norman!) is 15 and working at psg, he is the apple of my eye! ive had him 8 years and trained him up from a not very good novice to a winning advanced boy! he isnt easy and very big as you can see, his breeding is unusual sire is holstein cross with Raimondo as g sire and dam is a cleveland bay, so he is a one off i think!!
love the foal pic!
I love your pictures of Baby Dan. So cute!
Great to hear from you, seems to be lots of Sandro Hits ,Weltmeyer ,Jaz here ..The new imported colt I have in at the moment is STEDINGER (Sandro Hit)x WARKANT (World Cup)..From what they tell me it`s the Warkant that makes him so ride-able. Have you had anything to do with these bloodlines.. We have frozen semen from Sir Donnerhall and others including jumping horses that we hope to use this year..
My day job is breaking /starting young horses under saddle so I get to see the good bad and the ugly when it comes to bloodlines.. Easier to mention the ones not to touch.. As I tell my clients warmbloods are born with a union card ,sooner or later they will go on strike..No matter what stallion you use you still have have a good mare to breed from.. When people see horses playing up at comps etc they always say WHO is the sire never hear what mare is that out of..
What is the bay horse in your pics???
Where in England are you ,I have a daughter who lives near Cheltenham ..
Nice hear from you.
Cheers,
