Clinicians - Walter and Gisela Mantler - visit our webiste to see us at work http://www.symphonystables.com/index_files/Page762.htm Our horsemanship clinics are designed to train and work with the horse and rider at their current level. During the initial training, it is irrelevant whether the horse is going English or Western. The clinics are designed to improve communication between horse and human whether it be a completely green horse/rider or national level dressage or reining competitor. Our training process takes a very progressive approach for both horse and rider based on “training before schooling”. We teach the basics and then build on them until the horse & rider are ready to be schooled for a specific discipline or maybe just go for a quiet enjoyable trail ride.
These clinics are excellent for those students preparing themselves for Chris Irwin’s Train the Trainer program. Symphony has successfully trained numerous students who were then able to earn / upgrade their trainer certification.
These clinics are great for training horses with problems like:
· Standing for mounting
· Biting, kicking
· Bucking, rearing, runaways
· Spooking in the show ring or on the trail
· Problem picking up feet
· Trailer loading
If your horse is already going well, we can help with:
· Getting nicer upward or downward transitions from walk, to trot, to canter
· Get them bending, stretching and working on true collection from back to front
· Get nicer leg yield maneuvers for: half pass, sidepass, haunch turn etc. by making full use of timing and proper use of leg and seat aids
· Long lining and preparing for driving
