If someone could help, that would be awesome. I have an amazing horse that will jump anything, but he doesn't do flying lead changes. he will rarely do them over fences. If you have any training tips, that would be appreciated. It will help me out a lot this show season!

Hi Julia, Tim Stockdale did a blog about this exact topic! Go to blogs at the top of the page and click on Tim's name. I think Jane Savoie did a blog on lead changes too, so hopefully they'll both be really helpful!
Hi Julia, Lead changes between fences are not something that you are suddenly going to find easily, I will leave that to the blogs that Barbara has mentioned. However, getting the correct lead on landing is not too difficult. Training your horse to land on the correct lead is as simple as moving your new outside leg back a little prior to take-off and looking in the new direction , more often than not the horse will land on that lead. Flying changes are something to work on as you progress through the grades, you will need some help from a good coach to get them correctly. If you setup the grid that Tim Stockdale has in his latest blog and think about changing direction over the last , you will find it quite easy. Have fun, Geoffrey P.S. don't try too hard,it will come easier.
