No, he's just smelling the flowers Shirley. We had a dressage comp where they had plastic flowers on top of the letters and he did not want to go anywhere near them. His owner (evil woman she is) sent me some in the post.

- E.F.A. Level 1 Coach since 1992, riding showjumpers and eventers since the 70's, that make's me sound old. I'm 47. I coach full time on our property in the Inman Valley , South Australia. Also coach at pony clubs around the state. I have 6 school horses of varied age and height. I have three young T.B.'s starting comps, show jumping at the moment, with a view to event them next year.--------------------------The TB's are going well, one has been to his first event, his second one is coming up next weekend.

No, it's not about the pop group from the 90's!!
It's about the wettest start to the Royal Adelaide Show in a hundred years.
They say there were a thousand lightning strikes in the metro area, all I know is the thunder was so close it caused a traffic accedent in my pants!!

Well, after a mammoth 8 hour drive in the new truck we arrived safely and everyone travelled well. Wentworth is in the western district of New South Wales, so a fair way from Inman Valley. My wife ,Kate, has a family connection with the area and she was the first Miss Wentworth showgirl. As this was the 20th anniversary of that milestone in her life we felt duty bound to return for the show ( plus the mother in law said we had to!). Well, I don't mind admiting when a horse has the better of me, and this one certainly did!! It was a hard day of riding this tricky horse , and he got the best me on more than one occasion. Koala hay??

For all you people that are wondering what Koala hay is, well it's a long story. In the 30's Koala's were introduced to Kangaroo Island , (not a native to the island) and for a good few years now they have been eating themselves out of house and home. Koala's only eat a particular type of gum leaves. Lots of Koala's ,not much to eat.
