Special Horses Inc. Cookbook Fundraiser for the Emergency Response Fund

Special Horses, Inc. is pleased to announce its new fundraiser! This is
certain to be one of the most Tasteful fundraising events ever!
To celebrate receiving our IRS 501c3 non-profit designation, we
decided to kick off a unique and exciting fundraising event. With the
help of horse lovers and foodies all across the nation we are planning
the Ultimate Charity Cookbook for 2010.

We will be collecting submissions for original recipes from all over
the US. Only 50 of the very best will be selected for inclusion after
being extensively tested in our kitchens and by culinary professionals.

The deadline for submission is August 30th, 2010, followed by testing and release for the holidays.

The book itself is a gorgeous hardcover binder complete with 50 recipes
in the following categories:
  • Brunch and Breads
  • Appetizers and Drinks
  • Soups & Salads
  • Sides and Bites
  • Vegetables
  • Pasta, Rice and Grains
  • Fish and Seafood
  • Meat and Poultry
  • Desserts and Treats
  • Everything Else
Special Horses, Inc. will receive $10 for each book sold and the funds generated will be used to establish our Emergency Fund which
began in March of 2010 following the tragic seizure of Mr. America Beau
Jingles, a young horse rescued by Sunkissed Acres in January 2010.


Special Horses, Inc. is working to raise $75,000 in order to secure one
sling and emergency supplies which will be placed in the care of a
centrally located Veterinarian in each state. When a participating
rescue is in need they need only make a phone call and a sling can be
made available to them to use at no charge.
