Trying anything new with your horse?

A friend and I are thinking about taking our horses to Parelli lessons this Thursday morning. Just something new to stimulate us! I am still a John Lyon's person.

Yeah, tomorrow I go to my first Parelli lesson.

Hi Marti. I did something new with my horses last night.... I played with them from about 8-9 and it was dark and breezy and cool, usually we hang in the mid morning.... Oliver and I ended up moving so well together that our game turned into woohoo cowboy.... when I was inside the corral with him we went from barrel to barrel and I was teaching him moves before I gave him the reward.... I guess I'm back to food, ugh.... and he got so into it. I would push him in his stall and then turn and run a little and yell woohoo cowboy!! and he came flying out of his stall, into the arena and ran all around..... he was having fun!! I am so glad because Steve hasn't been here and he hasn't had a ton of exercise. Last night at least he got moving around and trotting and stuff. :) he only got rambuctious for a bit though, he's pretty lazy generally. We are getting a goove on and it's fun.... Toby stands back and watches but loves his scratches and carrots for no reason, just cuz he's old and I love him so much.... Jen

Lakota, our new mare, loves to jump. She has that cow horse attitude, which is fun to watch, when relating to the dogs. She is going to be an awesome all around horse. She is only 14 hands, so she is really a pony, a Quarter Pony. looks like a perfect Quarter Horse with a big butt, and lots of spirit. She is a blast. Maggie and her get along great, altho they both think they are the boss, lol.

The Parelli lessons are fun. I am enjoying them, but I think Clinton Anderson is the guy for me.

Just curious....no right nor wrong~~why is Clinton the guy for you?
Are you doing online lessons or riding lessons?
Last week a lady contacted me that she's just completed her level 1 professional trainee program with Parelli and has to do 50 free lessons to be totally certified as a 1 Star instructor.
I'll be seeing her Wed. weather permitting.
