Hi fellow Appy lovers, I think it is interesting that my Appy can't be registered with the ApHCC since his sire is a Morgan, he can get a competition permit but if he is sold the new owner has to re-apply but the ApHC offers hardship registration that stays with the horse. Any thoughts on this?

I did just about everything with my appy.
His favourite thing is jumping though.
I've shown mine but she prefers to do long distance riding both Competitive Trail and Endurance.
I'm lucky to have found a double registered mare - she's registered ApHC as well as Half-Arabian with AHA. So I can compete in both worlds with the splash of Appy spots.
when I used to breed appies I agree it was like a box of chocolates you never ever knew what colour the foal would be not matter how hard you tried it was never what you expect.

Glad to join in!
Appaloosas are quite the addiction...The minute a foal drops here, I am already wondering about what colours will be produced the next year! I feel sorry for "brown" horse breeders. (LOL)
I often think of Forrest Gump's expression of .....Life is like a box of chocolates....you never know what you'll get. It's like that with appies.
sure are think thats why I love to paint and draw them I find them like paints sooo messmerizing. and the best part is you never get an appy exactly the same as any other just like zebra strips
